Loaded Bacon Potato Soup

Ingredients

  • 7 yellow potatoes (peeled & diced)
  • 1 pack of thick cut bacon
  • 1 (32oz carton of chicken broth)
  • 1 (32 oz carton of heaving whipping cream)
  • 1 pack of Velvetta Shredded Cheese
  • 3 tbs of Desha’s Bacon Lover’s Seasoning
  • 2 Tbs of Nature’s Seasoning
  • 2 Tbs of Weber’s Garlic & Herb Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup of green onions
  • 1 white onion (diced)
  • 5 celery stalks (chopped)
  • 1 tbs of minced garlic
  • 5 tbs of all purpose flour
  • 1 tbs of chives

 

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice 7 potatoes. Be sure to soak them in cold water until you’re ready to cook them.
  2. Next, dice your celery and onions.
  3. In a skillet, cut your bacon into pieces and fry it until crispy.
  4. Remove your bacon and add your onions and celery. Sauté them and add 5 tbs of all purpose flour to the skillet.
  5. Mix it together very well and add 1 carton of chicken broth.
  6. Next add 1 carton of heavy whipping cream. Mix it together and let it thicken for 10 minutes. Now add your diced potatoes.
  7. Stir them in and add your minced garlic.
  8. Next add your garlic and herb seasoning.
  9. Now add Desha’s Bacon Lover’s seasoning!
  10. Mix it and turn it stove on medium low heat and let the potatoes cook until fork tender. (15-18 minutes)
  11. Now, add your cheese, green onions, and bacon pieces!
  12. Plate it up and Enjoy.
